* Math: It's all about Estimation and 3 digit addition & subtraction. How you can help your child...have them estimate how much your grocery bill will come to
* Exciting things are happening in Science & Social Studies:
We have become "dirt experts". We have examined soil & made a model of the different layers out of some interesting "stuff". We also made edible metamorphic and sedimentary rocks ask your kids how we did it. We have dissected & examined all kind of seeds and planted some. Each of us sprouted our own lima bean. We will be making our very own seed model. Look for it to come home soon. We just started studying about Economics. It's never too early to learn that.
*Writing:
Mrs. Church (our Wonderful writing coach) has been coming to our room every Thurs. to teach us a very exciting lesson. We are trying to make the reader's of our writing want to read more so... we are writing a "I Will Never Forget Story" and sharing them with the class. Ask your child what they wrote about. Our stories will have a beginning, middle and end and contain 3 pages.
