This year at Hobe Sound Elementary all students will be learning a variety of musical skills and concepts that will help them to grow in music and in all other subject areas. Each daily lesson combines aspects of vocal training, pitch recognition, ear training, rhythmic recall, and the beginnings of music theory. These lessons will prepare students for middle school band and choral programs. Reading and math are heavily emphasized each lesson through the performance of lyrics and written notation. My goal is that each student feels individual success in music as they discover this success through daily listening, experimentation with their voice and classroom instruments.
